Soto, an international film student from Mexico is seeking out the help and support of fellow Gaga fans.
Soto is currently finishing his studies in Chapman University at Orange, California and for his final thesis, he'd decided to make a musical based on his artistic interpretation of the Mother Monster's hit Bad Romance. Now wouldn't we love to see this project come to life? The thing is, Soto's film school is not letting him proceed with the project unless he gets approval to use Lady Gaga's song.
Soto then came up with a campaign online, a movement titled Help Soto go Gaga to reach out to all the Little Monsters and to Lady Gaga herself.
Below is a brilliant YouTube video consisting of Soto's explanation of his dilemma which also showcases his film idea and a request for the support of his fellow Monsters and Lady Gaga.
Soto also created a petition and a website where supporters can view updates on his concept art for the project.
Soto named July 20th "The Day we Reach Gaga" - the day Soto and supporters will tweet Lady Gaga and her closest friends a key message - "GAGA GO SOTO" +vid link and hashtag #Soto2Gaga - in hopes of getting the artist's attention.
Soto and his campaign have received a good amount of support especially in Soto's home country, Mexico where he had done interviews about the campaign. Soto also have been featured in Mexico's major national newspaper EL UNIVERSAL.
Here are some of Soto's interview with a few Mexican publications:
Musx, El Universal, El imparcial, Milenio, and Universal Music (Mexican Division.)
