James Spader to join "The Office"

American actor James Spader best known for his movies Pretty in Pink, Stargate, and Secretary has been announced by NBC to be the newest "The Office" full-time employee.

Spader will be reprising his role as Robert California the new CEO of Sabre, Dunder-Mifflin's parent company. Spader's character is said to be an "uber-salesman that has a power to convince and manipulate, like a high-class weirdo Jedi warrior," according to Paul Lieberstein, executive producer and series actor.

Spader's California will be replacing the previous position Kathy Bate's character held. As for Steve Carell's character, Michael Scott, there's still no word as to who will replace him.
