NKOTBSB Conert Review

Using the word EPIC may seem like a bit much when talking about a concert, but for once, it is not. NKOTBSB really did stand up to their slogan for this tour, "Once in a lifetime". The new Amway Arena in Orlando packed the people in as anticipation built for the show to start.

To start off the show, a band called Midnight Red took the stage. Never having heard them before, I was instantly blown away by their electro pop rock feel and high energy stage performance. Following Midnight Red was the well known Matthew Morrison. Singing some covers, along with his infamous performance of Kanye West's "Golddigger".

Once the opening acts were gone and the first band was torn down, it was time. Rotating between playing together, and each band playing individually. New Kids On the Block played some of their classics, including Step By Step, where up on the Jumbotron a picture of Joey Fatone from the late NSYNC was shown in the audience belting out the words (BEST MOMENT EVER!), and even some of their newer music. Backstreet Boys seemed to be taking a more old school route as they played songs from when they first came out, including 10,000 Promises, Get Down, and I'll Never Break Your Heart. They also sang fan favorites, I Want It That Way and The Call.

When everyone thought that the two bands would be wrapping up, New Kids On the Block gave a speech about how Orlando was the home of the Backstreet Boys and that they wanted to something very special. The two groups huddled together and counted down from ten. When the countdown ended, on the center stage popped up three very familiar faces. Boys II Men making a special appearance. They roar of the crowd was like anything I have ever heard. They belted out three songs and wrapped up with "End of the Road" with New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys joining in. The two bands wrapped up with their group single "Don't Turn Out the Lights", individual songs by each band, and then finally their mashup.

If you have the chance to see NKOTBSB in concert, we highly recommend it. You may not get to see Boys II Men, but you will most definitely get the show of a lifetime.
