Mexican director Guillermo del Toro is working on a new project- an adaptation of one of the most loved fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast.It has been reported that during a press junket in NYC, producer Denise Di Novi (Crazy, Stupid, Love) shared with Coming Soon that she is working with Hellboy director, del Toro and British actress Emma Watson best known for her portrayal of Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter films, is lined up to star in the fairy tale adaptation.
Del Toro is well known for his film El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) which earned Academy and BAFTA awards. With del Toro's rich way of telling a story through his films and Watson's brilliance in acting, it would be very interesting to see this adaptation. We do hope that Watson gets the part!
