Deathly Hallows Part 2 Breaks Weekend Record
Warner Bros. has done it again. The finale installment into the Harry Potter series, Deathly Hallows Part 2, released on July 15th and has been growing in momentum since. The finale not only broke records.... it shattered them. The tentative numbers are in from the opening weekend, and they stand at $168,550,000. That is ten million more than the previous record holder, which was also a Warner Bros. movie, The Dark Knight.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 also broke the Opening day record with an estimated $92.1 million.
It's only been a few days since the movie hit theaters, but more records are looming on the horizon as the rest of the week starts up. Stay tuned for more numbers. The Harry Potter series is definitely ending with a bang.
