Timberlake was joined by his co-star Amanda Seyfriend (Red Riding Hood) and Gattaca and Simone director, Andew Niccol at the Twentieth Century Fox panel.
The group discussed the film which is sent in world where people don't age past their 25th year and when they did, they only have a year left. In this world, time becomes a currency that runs it.
"Everyone has this body clock and it’s really that invention that’s the death of all other inventions. The poor have no time to create anything and the rich have no incentive," Niccol talked about the film after the panel. "I had to look for new souls and old souls because everyone looks like they’re 25, but they’re actually anywhere from 25 - 105 years old. It was a challenge because you couldn’t just find an old character actor to fill a grouchy old man type of character in the background, you had to find that spirit in a 25 year old actor and you had to do it across the board," Niccol added as he discussed about casting which was said to be unsual to this film. Niccol stated that casting for In Time became about "finding an actor that had the right spirit out of their age." (Gordon and the Whale)
In Time also stars Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy) and Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later, Inception.) It is set to be released on October 28th, 2011.
