American actor Al Pacino was honored by the Venice film festival on Sunday.
Pacino was given the Jaeger Lecoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award at a gala awards ceremony.
Pacino's latest film Wilde Salome was also showed to the press.
Wilde Salome stars Jessica Chastian. The film is a part documentary that explores the Irish writer and poet Oscar Wilde and the other part is the version of Wilde's play Salome.
Pacino told the press, "I guess what I tried to do is ... create a story. But I don't know what it is. I like to say it's a documentary because it's not a film, but then it's not a documentary either, so I'm confused too," he added.
When press asked Pacino about the future, he stated that movies are still coming his way.
"I'm going to be selective. I always say that, but I never am.
"I'm saying again -- 'I'm going to do it only when I feel it's the thing to do for me.' I hope I follow that philosophy. That's my future. It's blank," Pacino said.
Pacino has won numerous awards including an Academy award for Best Actor in 1993 for the film Scent of a Woman.
