Fantasy is certainly different to reality for Modern Family actress Ariel Winter, who plays Alex Dunphy in the highly successful show. The 14-year-old was removed from her home the other day after allegations that her mother was physically and emotionally abusing the teen.
Her older sister, Shanelle Gray, has currently been granted guardianship by the courts, but the saga continues. Their mother, Chrystal Workman, not only denies the abuse, but has a few allegations of her own. She claims that Ariel is retaliating after she found the 14-year-old and her 18-year-old boyfriend in bed together.
Workman goes on to say she was just trying to protect her daughter from statutory rape, but the fact that she waited until Ariel had been removed from her custody before lodging a police report has caused more than a few people to become suspicious about whether her allegations are true.
