Superman is getting a re-boot and the Man of Steel is in great hands as "The Bodyguard" star, Kevin Costner will portray the hero's adoptive father, Jonathan Kent.Recently closing the deal, Costner will be joining actors Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Henry Cavill (Clark Kent; Superman) in Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures' new Superman movie.
In the Richard Donner Superman movie, Jonathan Kent was played by Glenn Ford who suffered a heart attack. Warner Bros. however is not releasing any comment whether Costner's Kent would go through the same ordeal.
Christopher Nolan (Memento; Inception) will be producing the 2012 Superman: Man of Steel movie which will be penned by David S. Goyer (Batman Begins; The Dark Knight) and directed by Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead; Watchmen).
