One of TV Land's newest sitcoms is Fran Drescher's "Happily Divorced."Drecher is well known for her role as Fran Fine, the Sheffield children's bubbly nanny. The Nanny run on CBS from 1993 to 1999 and made Drescher an instant star. Later on, Drescher appeared in various films including Francis Ford Coppola's Jack.
Drescher returned to television doing both lead and guests roles. Her last television project was her own talk show which ran for 3 weeks.
Now, Drescher has returned! This time, she will be portraying a Los Angeles florist. The show will focus on Drescher's character whose life is said to be based on Drescher's. The character who has been married for 18 years finds out her realtor husband is gay, gets divorced and now deals with dating.
Drescher will be joined by actors John Michael Higgins who will portray Drescher's husband, Tichina Arnold and Rita Moreno.
"Happily Divorced" has been ordered for 10 episodes.
