First Light Awards named Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban Film of The Decade. In association with the Bafta Kid's Vote, the award was submitted to a public vote and was chosen by children aged five to 15. The third film in the Harry Potter series was up against other films such as Shrek, Whale Ride, Happy Feet and Up.
First Light Awards annually celebrates short film created by younger people. It is supported by the National Lottery through the UK Council. First Light Awards enable five to 19 year olds film makers to create their own short digital films and media projects by the providing funding. The last First Light Awards ceremony was held at London's Odeon Leicester Square.
