Graham King, producer of "The Departed" has acquired the feature film rights to "Tomb Raider." It was reported that the heavy-weight producer is planning to re-boot the action-adventure franchise, with 2013 as the aimed year to release the first film.The first two films in the franchise was starred by Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft. Sources said that King's company may be looking to focus on Lara Croft's origin instead of continuing the heroine's adventure.
"Tomb Raider" is a game series created by Eidos (now Square Enix) in 1996. The first film adaptation of the game series- "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" - was released in 2001 followed by "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life" in 2003.
